What’s This About 2 Rebate Offers??
You may have noticed that we recently started talking up a “double your rebate” offer for upgrading to a new heating system. It’s an amazing deal!
Think about taking advantage of it soon, while there are still funds.
New Jersey’s Clean Energy Program, (http://www.njcleanenergy.com/warm)“a statewide program that offers financial incentives, programs and services for New Jersey residents, business owners and local governments to help them save energy, money and the environment” is offering one . There is a lot on that website about saving energy in every season. Look it over and save!
The 2nd rebate is from Upgrade and Save NJ (http://upgradeandsavenj.com/). Do you know who that is? It’s Us! It’s JW Pierson Company and our fellow members in NORA (the National Oilheat Research Alliance). Why would we offer such generous rebates when the state is already doing a similar program? There are 2 reasons:
- The State of New Jersey is wonderful for encouraging residents to use less energy. The state has allocated $200 million dollars for the Clean Energy Program’s rebates, which sounds like a lot, but actually works out to about $32 per person. You can read about it quickly here. (http://www.neep.org/initiatives/public-policies/new-jersey) Those funds will all be dispersed, sooner rather than later, and then that offer will end. It will renew next year, but at a lower rate.
- NORA wants to encourage everyone to upgrade to new, high efficiency equipment. We don’t like keeping those old dinosaurs running. It costs you far too much to coddle and maintain old equipment that uses more energy than it needs to and is constantly on the verge of breaking down. If your heating equipment is more than 10 years old, you will realize significant savings (20% or more) in your energy usage if you upgrade.
So that’s the Why and the Who of New Jersey’s rebates. The How Much is dependent on what you are upgrading and if you are combining equipment (like adding a new water heater in when you buy that new furnace). The rebate charts, showing the current rebates and the reduced 2017 rebates, are at each website.
Call us and we can give you a good idea of what your savings will be, how much you will qualify for in rebates, and with zero percent financing, what it will Save you to upgrade. You can’t afford NOT to!
